ISLA BLANCA PARK AND ADOLPH THOMAE, JR. COUNTY PARK
COLD FRONT FORECASTED FOR THE AREA
Cameron County is currently monitoring a potential cold front starting Monday morning around 3:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The forecasted activity is predicted to trigger strong winds with gusty winds capable of exceeding 40 mph with temperatures dropping below 50 degrees. A potential for heavy down pours can also be expected with the passing of the front.
We strongly suggest for all RV guests to take precautionary measures ahead of the forecasted inclement weather to ensure safety, health and well-being during this time. We are asking campers to secure any loose items around their campsites that could easily be tossed and cause damage to neighboring property, and to re-check tie downs to make sure campers are properly secured. Please try to avoid travel during these times and make every attempt to seek safe shelter during the storm.
