CAMERON COUNTY TEMPORARILY CLOSES BOCA CHICA BEACH AND BEACH ACCESS AREAS
Effective today, October 30, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño, Jr., has ordered the following County beach access areas to open:
- Beach Access No. 4
- Beach Access No. 5/ E.K. Atwood Park
- Beach Access No. 6
- Boca Chica Beach
The above identified County beach access areas were temporarily closed from Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 7:30 a.m. through today, Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. for the protection and safety of the general public in light of the high tides and the undriveable land conditions.
During the temporary beach closures, County beach area on South Padre Island such as Isla Blanca Park remained open.
We continue to ask that all individuals be cautious when visiting our beaches and heed the advice of the lifeguards as well as the Flag Advisory System Signage at all times.
