Cameron County Judge
Recently, the Cameron County Commissioners Court directed its Civil Legal Division to review
all county leases and agreements. The Chapel by the Sea lease is among those. County Judge
Eddie Trevino, Jr., on behalf of Commissioners Court, has requested a meeting with Gerald
Geletzke, Executive Board President of Chapel by the Sea, Chris Boswell, attorney for the Chapel,
Chapel representatives. County Administration and the Legal Division, to discuss all issues
concerning the lease and to identify options to move forward towards a potential mutually
acceptable resolution that would address continued operations by the Chapel as well as the
County’s fiduciary responsibilities for this county property.
