What is a Poll Worker?

A Poll Worker is a registered voter from the community stationed to serve at polling sites during elections. Before beginning service, each individual must attend training provided by the County Elections Office.

What does a Poll Worker do?

Poll Workers open, manage and close voting locations during early voting and on election day. Their duties include, but are not limited to, processing qualified voters and providing voter assistance when required. Most importantly, they take an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, laws of the United States and the State of Texas.
