We are deeply saddened to share the untimely passing of Sylvia Lopez, beloved wife of Cameron County Pct. 2 Commissioner Joe Lopez. Sylvia was a gracious and kind-hearted person whose warmth touched the lives of many in our community, especially within the education community. Her legacy of compassion and strength will not be forgotten.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Commissioner Lopez and his family during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the love and support of those around them, and may Sylvia rest in eternal peace.
