MISSION
Cameron County Pretrial Services is an organization with the mission to assist in the administration of justice and to promote fairness and equality in the pretrial process and empowering defendants with the resources necessary to successfully comply with court requirements.
Reporting While Out on Bond
If you are out on bond with Cameron County Pre Trial Services and are required to report via telephone, please note that we experience a high volume of calls on reporting days. To make the process more efficient, you may also report via email.

Court-Appointed Attorney Requirements
Not everyone qualifies for a court-appointed attorney.
When applying, the following documents are required by our department for screening:

Supervision Cases
If you are being supervised by Cameron County Pre Trial Services as a condition of your bond (such as GPS monitoring, alcohol monitoring, curfew monitoring, or drug testing), and any issues arise after business hours, on holidays, or over the weekend, please contact Pre Trial Services at:

The program is designed to assist individuals charged with a Class A or B misdemeanor or non-violent felony, who live in Cameron County.
ATTENTION INDIGENT DEFENSE ATTORNEYS:
EFFECTIVE June 1, 2024
All attorney’s expense claim forms will be
processed via the TechShare indigent defense portal.
The Cameron County Clerk’s Office and the
Cameron County District Clerk’s Office will no longer be accepting vouchers via E-file.
