Cameron County officials along with the Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority (CCRMA) requested the designation of a segment of State Highway System 1-169 concurrent with State Highway 550 from the existing 1-169 terminus at Old Alice Road to approximately 0.4 miles east of FM 184 7 in Brownsville, requesting a total distance of approximately 2.5 miles.
