Automated Vehicle Identification (AVI)
Tag Service
The AVI Tag is a sticker that goes on the inside of your windshield to the left of rear view mirror. An electronic reader above the toll booth sends a signal to the microchip inside the sticker, and tolls are automatically deducted from your prepaid AVI Tag account. AVI Tag works like a prepaid phone card or gift card.
Currently AVI Tags may be obtained at the Veterans Bridge Toll Plaza Office, located adjacent to the toll booths at the Veterans International Bridge. In the near future, the tags will also be available at the Gateway Bridge and at the Free Trade Bridge in Los Indios Tx.
