Today, September 11, 2020, the Office of Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino, Jr., has been notified that one (1) employee from the County Clerk's Office, one (I) employee from the District Clerk's Office, and one (I) employee from the Sheriff's Office tested positive for COVID-19. Today, September 4, 2020, the Office of Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino, Jr., has been notified that one (1) employee from the Constable Precinct 4 Office, one (1) employee from the Sheriff's Office, one (1) employee from the Justice of the Peace 3-1 Office, two (2) employees from the Juvenile Probation Department, one (I) employee from Public Works Precinct 1, and one ( 1) employee from Public Works Precinct 3 tested positive for COVID-19. Due to privacy laws, Cameron County will not release specific employee information.

27 Aug: Cameron County Receives $750000 Dollars from the Texas Parks Wildlife Department for the Santa Rosa Community Park

Cameron County is pleased to announce that the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission has approved funding for improvements to the Santa Rosa Community Park under the Non-Urban Outdoor Local Park Grant Programs in the amount of $750,000. The improvement components include: an aquatic recreational area, a covered basketball court, a covered pavilion, picnic facilities, interpretive signage, and native landscaping including a butterfly garden.

27 Aug: OEM deployed to assist DDC 15- Hurricane Laura

As part of the Incident Management Team for the State of Texas, Fire Marshal Juan Martinez and Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator Rolando Casas from the Cameron County Office of Emergency Management and Fire Marshal Service, have been deployed to aid and assist the Texas Disaster District Chair (DDC) 15 in preparation of the landfall of Category 4 Hurricane Laura.
