Cameron County Public Health has received confirmation of three additional travel-related cases of COVID-19. The cases include a 20 year-old male from Rancho Viejo, a 21 year-old male from Brownsville and a 21 year-old female from Brownsville. All cases report having traveled out of the United States and are currently under home isolation. These cases are linked to the first travel-related case of Cameron County.

Cameron County Public Health has received confirmation of four additional travel-related cases of COVID-19. The cases include a 57 year-old female from Harlingen, a 20 year-old male from Brownsville, a 21 year-old male from Rancho Viejo, and a 20 year-old female from Brownsville. All cases report having traveled out of the United States. The individuals are currently under home isolation. The 57-year old female is not linked to either of the first two travel-related cases reported in Cameron County, while it appears the other three cases are related to the first travel-related case reported in Cameron County.
Cameron County Public Health has received confirmation of the first travel-related case of COVID-19. A 21-year old male from Rancho Viejo tested positive after traveling to Ireland and Spain between March 5 – March 12. On March 18, the patient presented himself at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen with symptoms of fever and cough where he was tested. Cameron County Public Health received laboratory confirmation today, March 19.
